Several shots were exchanged between the police and the suspects. Up to seven police cars converged on the park and at least two people were arrested.
Normally, NWCitizen does not cover blood and guns issues, but with nothing in this morning’s Bellingham Herald and nothing on the Herald website as of 11 a.m., I decided to inquire. Read The Bellingham Herald article by Caleb Hutton here, that reported on the shooting incident (about 22 hours after the incident) and two hours after John’s earliest report. At about the same time as the Herald article came out (around 1:45 p.m., August 13) an announcement about the shooting showed up on the city of Bellingham website here. The links to this information were intially posted by John Servais in his report on NorthwestCitizen.
