This comment on the County Comprehensive Plan Update regarding the land use vision, submitted by Wendy Harris, makes some excellent points. (A screenshot photo of page 1 of her comment is attached)
According to Wendy:
“the deadline for written public comment on any chapter of the comp. plan has been held open until January 8, at 5PM.
“It is always a good idea to raise ideas early, before the planning commission when possible, and they can be reasserted before the county council later on. It makes the public record stronger, and it avoids the possiblity that the county council could adopt the recommendations of the planning commission in which case they are not obligated to even hold a public hearing (although in this situation, it is likely that they would still do so).”
