With current Bellingham City Council Members fighting against putting People First, it’s more important than ever that we support people who have stepped up to run for those positions who are going to embrace giving communities in crisis a voice and providing solutions that keep them central in that process.
Here is the text of the Riveters Collective Facebook post from today:
It’s Wednesday, which means we are Cash Flashing for Eve Smason-Marcus. Can we get to $500 before noon today? #cashflash Representation matters! When elected, Eve will be the first person openly identifying as non-binary ever elected in Whatcom County. As a Bellingham City Council member, Eve will have 5 main priorities: 1. Environmental Justice 2. Housing as a Human Right 3. Community Safety and Wellness 4. Racial Justice and Economic Justice 5. Transparency and Accessibility
DONATE what you can ($5/$10/$25/More???) to make these priorities come to life. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/eveforbellingham COMMENT below [at this link] to tell us you donated! TAG three friends and tell them why you are supporting Eve4Bham.
